Comprehensive Examination
Our comprehensive new patient appointments involve a thorough medical and dental history review, a detailed examination, and treatment planning. The cost of a new patient visit is $199 for patients 18 and older, and $99 for children under 18, not including x-rays.

Periodontal Examination
Once the doctor has charted all your teeth, including existing restorations, a periodontal exam will be done. The doctor will measure the pocketing around your gums to look for any signs of periodontal disease.
TMJ, Oral Cancer & Airway Evaluation
A temporomandibular joint (TMJ) exam will be done, in which the doctor will check your jaw joints for any signs of inflammation or dysfunction, and then a thorough head and neck exam will be completed to look for oral cancer.
We will then evaluate your airway, which includes a discussion about sleep quality and breathing. In many cases, nighttime grinding and TMJ dysfunction can be caused by airway obstructions and sleep disordered breathing.
X-Rays
If you have recent x-rays, please have them sent to our office so we may use them to aid in our treatment planning. If you do not have recent x-rays (bitewings within 1 year, full mouth set of x-rays within 5 years), we will need to take new x-rays during the appointment. The cost of x-rays varies from $70 to $299.
