Welcome to New Generation Dental Center, a third-generation dental practice serving the Greater Boston area, conveniently located on the Newton-Wellesley line. Prosthodontist
Best known for his eye for detail and his superior clinical skills, prosthodontist Dr. Nathan Birnbaum is able to transform any mouth into a work of art. He has lectured internationally and has been featured in multiple journals, magazines, and the most highly respected textbook in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Birnbaum is a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and the Internation College of Dentists, and a member of many respected dental organizations.

General Dentist
With a passion for sports dentistry, children, and digital technology, general dentist Dr. Heidi Aaronson loves treating patients of all ages with a wide range of dental needs. She is the founder of Tooth Day at Fenway Park and has been sought after by players on several Boston sports teams for her knowledge and ability in the field of sports dentistry and digital impressioning technology. She is also considered to be one of the leading tongue tie specialists in the area, having performed thousands of frenectomies over the past several years.

Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Birnbaum is a prosthodontist and has received specialized training in prosthetic dentistry - crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, bridges, implant restorations, dentures, and full mouth reconstructions. Dr. Birnbaum and Dr. Aaronson use the best quality materials and labs and will stand behind their work for years to come. Treatments are completed in a comfortable operatory using the latest in dental diagnostic and treatment technology.
TMJ and Botox
Both Dr. Birnbaum and Dr. Aaronson understand the complexities of neuromuscular dentistry and how to properly diagnose and treat Temporomandibular Disorder (TMJ) through a variety of treatment modalities. We offer a wide range of treatment options, from Aqualizers and TENS therapy to night guards and Botox treatment to help alleviate jaw pain and migraines.
Lip and Tongue Ties
Dr. Aaronson has been trained in proper diagnosis and treatment of lip and tongue ties and is considered one of the top doctors in the area to treat lip and tongue ties. She uses a laser to quickly and accurately release ties to allow for proper movement. We are also proud to have a trained lactation counselor on staff to help moms and babies during and after treatment. Our breastfeeding-friendly office has comfortable chairs for you to nurse your baby before and after treatment.
Sports Dentistry
A member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry, Dr. Aaronson has a passion for treating athletes, from protection by mouthguards and prevention by educating about the risk of chewing tobacco, to treatment of traumatic sports injuries. She has lectured and written multiple articles about custom mouthguards, and she has been sought out by the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins for her ability to protect athletes..
